Tattoo Parlor

Welcome to Sacred Flames, located in Wilson, North Carolina. There is an old saying, "The Devil is in the details". Here at Sacred Flames we prescribe to the meaning behind that old saying by paying close attention to the smallest details to provide our customers with a professional and safe experience.Sacred Flames Tattoo Parlor

There are many stories which have been circulated about tattoos which have gone wrong. Getting ink from someone who has not used the proper methods of sterilizations can lead to infection or the spread of infectious disease, such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, tuberculosis, tetanus, or HIV.

All of our tattoo needles are single use only, once a tattoo session is completed the needles are disposed of in an approved biohazard container. All tattoo inks used during a tattoo are drawn from single service caps which hold individual potions, any left over ink is discarded upon completion of the session.

Sacred Flames Tattoo uses an Autoclave to sterilize all non-disposable equipment that we use doing our Tattoos and
Body Piercings . An Autoclave Tattoo Roomconsists of a steel chamber capable of withstanding more than 1 ATM or 15 pounds per square inch (PSI) of pressure. Pre-scrubbed, cleaned and bagged items to be sterilized are placed in the autoclave. As steam vapors enters the chamber, the air inside is forced out a vent. When the temperature inside the chamber reaches 100 degrees centigrade, or boiling, and all air has been removed, the vents are closed. Steam continues to enter increasing the internal pressure to 15 PSI above atmospheric pressure. 15 to
30 PSI at 273 degrees Fahrenheit for 55 minutes from cold start (45 minutes from hot start) adequately ensures death of all living microorganisms. In theory, all living material, including bacteria, fungi, spores and viruses are destroyed in 15 to 20 minutes. The extra time is a margin of safety.

All counter tops, beds, chairs, and armrest are thoroughly cleaned
after each use with a broad spectrum germicidal solution, and your finished tattoo is cleaned with Green Soap (the same solution use in hospitals)

People have been tattooed for over 5000 years for various reasons. It is speculated the first tat most likely was the results of some prehistoric person rubbing an open wound with dirty, soot covered hands.

Throughout the ages tattooing has been used for many reasons as rites of passage, marks of status and rank, symbols of religious and spiritual devotion, decorations for bravery, sexual lures and marks of fertility, pledges of love, punishment, amulets and talismans, protection, and as the marks of outcasts, slaves and convicts.

Today reasons for getting Body Art are as diverse as the individual. cosmetic, medical, sentimental, religious, magical
reasons, to symbolize their belonging to a particular group, or just wanting to be cool could all be the motivation behind the desire for ink.

When considering a tattoo you should remember tattoos are meant to be permanent. Although tattooing is widely accepted in today's society, certain career choices could require that your ink be covered up. Removal of an unwanted tat down the road may not be completely possible. Laser treatments are available but they do not guarantee total elimination of the Body Art,. It is said that these treatments are more painful than receiving the tat and that skin grafts are sometimes needed.
